I just love the adorable girls! It has been so fun watching them grow up and this session with them was just as great as our past sessions. They were full of energy and all smiles the whole time. Look how big Mr. M is getting! It was time for his nine month shoot and I couldn't believe my eyes...he's a little man now. Those big green eyes and shaggy hair, I told his parents he looked like a mini Abercrombie model. Should they ever come out with a baby line he would be their perfect spokesbaby. This also has to be one of my favorite shoots to date. It was super fun and I had such a hard time editing through the proofs because I loved every single frame snapped. This adorable little guy is baby G. We did a quick little shoot to celebrate his half birthday. It has been so fun to watch this little guy grow...and grow...and grow! He is getting so big so fast! We did fun things that six months olds do. Just some good old playing and investigating. :) He was so much fun to shoot with him batting those gorgeous blue eyes, with lashes that I would die for (boys always get the good lashes!) and huge gummy smiles. This little pumpkin is baby W. A few weeks ago he made his grand entrance into the world and joined the D family. I was so excited to meet baby W. I did his big sister E's newborn and first year shoots and to see the newest addition was so exciting. It is always fun to meet the siblings and compare the two. I was so shocked when Mrs. D told me that W had almost doubled E's birth weight! He was adorable in all his baby chubby cuteness! I also liked seeing how E interacted with her new brother. She wasn't too terribly interested at first but when prompted with some M&Ms to kick start her she was off and snuggling away. For as young as she is, she was sooooo sweet with her little brother and definitely hugged and kissed him a lot more than I am used to seeing for this age spread. I have a feeling these two will be so close growing up! Here is a sneak peek at W's first photo shoot. Congratulations D family!!!

This smiley little girl is Miss A. I met her and her cute mommy a few weeks ago for Miss A's six month shoot. Miss A and her family live quite a bit away so we met at a park about halfway between (about and hour plus drive for each of us). It was so fun to meet a new family and the weather was gorgeous for a photo shoot. Miss A did not disapoint. She brought her A-game squishy smiles. I loved when she got super excited and giggle she would squish up her eyes nice and tight and let out a big laugh. ADORABLE! :) Here is a sneak peek at A's shoot.

I have lots and lots to share with you guys, but first I wanted to share a super important blog with you guys. This adorable pair is our good friend Mandy and her daughter Miss A. Long time blog readers might have read about these two quite a few times (here and here). Mandy and Miss A are both amazing people with miracle stories. This summer has been quite busy for both...Miss A celebrated her first birthday (which I will post more on later) and Mandy had the surgery she mentioned in the video. The surgery went amazingly well, but Mandy's road to recovery has been a little rougher than she initially anticipated. Without giving away too much personal information of hers she is currently recovering from a second heart surgery she had to have today following two strokes she experienced a few weeks ago as well as to correct a few other complications. We are all hoping and praying she is now officially on the road to recovery and can get home to her baby girl and husband asap to have a completely boring rest of the year!

It goes without saying that the Atlanta Heart Walk is a super important event to Mandy and her family. I know she would love for everyone who can to join her this year to support such a great cause. A few weeks ago I met the M family for a quick maternity shoot a few days before their little one was due to arrive. I was so impressed with Mrs. M - she looked great! Hands down she has to be one of the prettiest pregnant ladies I have ever seen! And both she and Mr. M were so calm and relaxed. I remember the days leading up to our little guys arrival and I would say we were anything but calm. :) I had such a blast shooting their little family, and their home served as a perfect back drop. Mrs. M is a local expert home stager and her style is just exquisite! I also loved that the M's wanted include their first baby, their furry child Nina. :) Including dogs in shoots can sometimes be tricky, but Nina was a pro. In fact, I think she was sad when her portion of the shoot was over. She had a killer smize. :) Here is a sneak peek at the M family before little M's arrival...

Sharing an oldie but a goodie. :) Here are a few quick pics from Miss L's adorable Minnie themed first birthday party. All of the decorations and the details were perfect! Miss L had tons of friends and family to help her celebrate her special day, and everyone had big smiles on their faces. L was a little hesitant about her smash cake at first but was quickly all smiles when she realized she could smoosh down the polka dots on it. She stayed a lady though as not a bit of cake landed on her face. If I had to guess her favorite part of the day, I would say it was when her uncle brought her his gift...a huge cuddly teddy bear! A few weekends ago, I met the W family for the littlest W's 2 year photo shoot. Little W was the absolute sweetest well behaved two year old I have ever met! And he was so stinkin' cute to boot. :) The weather had cooled off a little bit (from 98 degrees to 94 degrees), but the humidity was killer. Fifteen minutes into the shoot we were all drenched. H is very special to me because he is the newest addition to my best friend's family. :) He is their third little H, and after years of living in a pink wonderland the household's testosterone levels just got a small adorable boost. He is such a cutie and seems so laid back. He peeked his little newborn eyes open for just a second, but decided even though I was poking and posing him a ton that napping was a much better option. This little sports fan is baby K. I met baby K and his family a few weeks ago in their home for his impossibly adorable photo shoot. K's mom had so many cute boy things to work with! I felt like he was my own personal doll I got to pose and dress up for a few hours. :) K was so easy during the shoot...incredibly laid back and even when awake he seemed as happy as can be. I was glad more so for K's parents. They by far have had the hardest delivery and recovery period that I have heard of to date. K, I think took this into consideration and decided to be the best baby ever. :) I hope after I left the B family got lots and lots and lots of rest and caught up on some much missed family time they needed together. This is one tough lady! Last month I had the pleasure of shooting Ashley of My Massage by Ashley. She wanted a shoot to reflect what she does for her new website. We met for our shoot at the CrossFit gym that she works out of, and talk about showing off your skills! The gym was about 90 degrees because of the fabulous Georgia heat we have been having lately, but that didn't stop her. Ashley is a trainer there she wanted to highlight some of the tougher exercises and equipment during the shoot. I was sweating just watching her! Needless to say I was super impressed! Wow! This blog has definitely been BORING this last month or so. Life had gotten crazy and sadly the blog was one of the many things that was put on the back burner for a while. I am finally getting the hang of my new normal, and hopefully the blog won't be as dull for my faithful readers...if any of you are still out there! :) Here is a quick catch up post for you guys...

First up the S family and the adorable Mr. B. At the time of the shoot B had just turned three months and was such a smiley little guy already!

Loved this one of him looking at his parents. So cute!!!

Next up, welcome new baby E! She was the most adorable sweetest baby ever! I was in love with all her dark hair and her easy going personality. No matter how many times we changed her or what poses she did, she didn't even make a peep!

I was so impressed with this shot. Mrs. S had just had a c-section and wanted this shot. I told her that the dad's usually do this shot and most can't even hold their arm up so we have to photoshop the shot from a few different frames. Mrs. S showed them! C-section and all she did this all on her own one-handed! :)

Here are a few of the J family. Their boys are getting so big! I love little D's curly hair and L's spunky personality. These two cracked me up the entire shoot!

Last month I met Miss M and her family for her twelve month photo shoot. As always Miss M looked adorable...she always has the cutest accessories! We met in the morning time and were shocked at how cold it was outside! The week leading up to our shoot was in the high 80's and we all had summer clothes on. It was like a switch was flipped and the AC was on high and running on full blast. We were all chilly and the wind was blowing everyone's hair in their face. Not the best shooting conditions at all. Miss M was a sport as long as she could handle it, but our shoot was definitely cut short so she could warm her little arms and legs up. Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting the W family. The W's have a squishily adorable new son. M is such a cutie and I have to say I was quite jealous of his big gorgeous eyes and hair! I joked with the W family that if he was a girl M would have perfect bow hair, but it is so true...boys always get the prettiest eye lashes and thick beautiful hair. :) It was such a fun shoot and even the first baby joined us for a few photos. She was the sweetest dog ever! I came home and told our dogs Beau and Bella they need to take lessons from her. She posed for the camera better than some adults do. :) I have a feeling you will see a lot more of M and his pup in the future. ;) Here is a sneak peek from the W's shoot...

Miss L really is the smiliest girl ever! It was time for her nine month shoot and I don't think she stopped smiling the whole time! We went to one of my favorite local locations and it is perfect for this age group. Lots of things for her to hold onto and climb on. She showed us how she is a big girl now and can stand on her own two feet all by herself with her fancy squeaky shoes with out help...well almost. :) And seriously, those shoes are about the most adorable thing ever! I can just picture her this summer and every adorable squeaky step...she is just too cute! Here is a quick peek at L and all her smiles. :)

Do you guys recognize Mr. L? He is getting so big! It was time for L's 9 month shoot, and I was excited to learn that L's parents were going to participate in this one. I love when parents get involved in shoots with their little one. I feel like too often parents (and usually moms) get left out of pictures since they are the ones taking them. Plus, it is fun for me to see how the parents interact with their children...it usually gets big huge smiles from everyone. :)

We met at a new location for me, and it was such a pretty spot. The weather had just warmed up enough that we didn't have to worry about being cold, wet or muddy from the rain the day before. L was all smiles and big blue eyes as usual, and loved showing us all his new tricks. He is such an easy going little one he didn't mind being barefoot and standing on any surface...I was impressed! I think his favorite part of the whole shoot though was taste testing some of nature's finest offerings (i.e. sticks, rocks, and pine straw). :) Here are just a few of my favorites from L's shoot...

Last week I was able to meet this cute little guy. Baby M arrived a little bit early and is the most adorable tiny little package. When I walked into the M family's condo I couldn't believe how tiny this little guy was. At birth he was almost a whole pound heavier and an inch longer than Baby G, but it is amazing how quickly you forget how little they are! I had so much fun at this shoot chatting with Mrs. M and her sweet mother-in-law and dressing Baby M up in all sorts of fun newborn stuff. I loved the puppy hat and think I am going to have to get one for Baby G too (his room theme is puppies). Baby M was only a few days old, but it took him a little while to get asleep...I have a feeling the M family is going to have a fun loving awake little boy on their hands very soon. :)

So adorable...I loved all his tiny baby features and look at all that hair already! :)

Isn't she just precious? This little three month old was such a cutie, and look at all that hair! I met Miss J and her parents in their home for a super fun girly session. I loved that we broke out the bows, pettiskirts, and all things pink. :) This little one was so much fun and definitely full of smiles. No matter what situation she was in she just batted those gorgeous blue eyes and posed away.

Her parents wanted lots of feet shots because they loved here little toes. They especially loved that her ring toe (I think that is what you would call it) was unique. :)

In true baby fashion, Miss J loved sucking on her fingers. :)

Last weekend I caught up with the T family. Mrs. T and I had been trying to coordinate little H's twelve months shoot for months, but the weather kept getting in the way. Finally we caught a break and headed over for the afternoon to the Atlanta Athletic Club. I hadn't seen H since his six month shoot, and oh my goodness he has grown. He is such a little boy now! I was sad to see that most of his fun baby rolls were gone. :( No worries though, T is still all cuteness. He was having so much fun and showed up his big toothy smile, his clapping, and how he can stand all by himself. I was also so excited to learn that the T family will soon be adding an another addition to their family. I am so excited for them!! And I must give kudos to Mrs. T...she looks awesome and I would never have known she was pregnant. I wish I looked that good pregnant. :) Congratulations T family! Last weekend I had the chance to catch up with one of my favorite families. And guess what? A new baby is on the way! :) The S family is expecting another little girl in two months and they wanted a few maternity pictures. Mrs. S looks fabulous and is so tiny! I told her to push that tiny belly out. :) I was excited that our nasty rainy weather we have been having decided to take a small break just in time for the shoot and we were able to get some great outdoor shots. These last few days with Baby G have been definitely been entertaining. He is a feisty little guy who keeps me on my toes from sun up to sun down (and sometimes moon up to moon down). I love that he is finally awake, and becoming more and more aware of the world that surrounds his little self. I especially love that when he wakes from night time or nap time he gives a huge gummy smile when he sees that its me...it makes getting up at 1, 2, and 4am worth it (well most days). :)

His personality is emerging as each day passes and if I had to make an early guess he is a mini daddy, with just a smidge of mommy thrown in. Check back with me during the teenage years and I will let you know if this is a good combo. :) For now, I am just enjoying my little two month old, and taking as many pictures as possible before he can tell me no like his daddy does. :)

Yay for baby A arriving! Last week I was able to meet the super cute and super new Miss A. Just over week old she was full of sleepy squishy newborn goodness. :) A is a super sweet baby and seems pretty easy and laid back so we were able to do lots of fun things. Miss A's older sister was a big part of the shoot, and even though she is a little young and doesn't entirely get that A is staying at her house for good, it was fun to see her be so sweet to her little sister. I think my favorite moment of the entire shoot was when Miss I tried to share her goldfish with her. The super cute Mr. W makes another appearance! W turned three months a few days before baby G arrived so we pushed back his three month shoot just a bit. This was my first shoot back, and I couldn't have asked for a better one to get back in the swing of things. We know the G family pretty well so Baby G and the hubby came along for a visit too. W was a breeze, and even with an ear infection he was smiley and showed us all his tricks. :) For his age he is pretty advanced and was already attempting sitting up! He was able to hold it for a minute or so before getting tired - I was so impressed!! Here are some of my favs from our session...

A few weeks ago Miss L turned six months old and it was time to document it. The shoot took place on one of those in between weather days so we stayed inside for most of the shoot. Miss L didn't seem to mind as she was all smiles the entire time. She is such a fun happy little baby that I look forward to each time I see her just so I can hear her little giggle. :) L did all the fun things six month olds do...she has sitting, rolling over, playing with her feet, and pushing up down pat. She also got fancy and showed us much she is ready to crawl and was this close to getting it. I would be shocked if she isn't crawling by now. Here is L's adorable sneak peek...

Whew, this blog has been super boring these last few weeks. So sorry to all my faithful blog readers. Mommyhood has been taking up 90% percent of my free time (the other 10% being filled with the exciting world of cleaning, laundry, dinner making, dog watching, and whenever possible maybe throwing a shower into the mix. :) ), but I wouldn't change it for a thing. Baby G is such a sweetie and we can't believe he will be six weeks old on Tuesday. He is getting bigger by the minute, and if we could freeze time right here we would.

Slowly though getting back into the routine of things, so hopefully the blog won't be as boring! For now here is a quick pic of Baby G. :)

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to give you a quick update and share a few snapshots. :) Baby G has arrived. He made his

appearance on January 25th at 10:33a.m. He was the tiniest little package at 5lbs, 6ozs and 18.5 inches. The last week and a half has been nothing but fun. We are definitely smitten with this little
   guy, and still can't believe he is ours. :) I will try to post some soon from his official newborn shoot,
   but thought I would share a few of him chillin' in his bassinet this morning. Big thanks to all of you

•••T's First Birthday | Smyrna, GA Event Photographer•••

Last weekend, I was excited to attend T's first birthday party. After being trapped in the house all week due to the snow storm that hit Atlanta, it was nice to make my way out for such a fun event. The remnants of snow and ice were still visible around town, but the party went off with out a hitch. T's mom is always so creative, and T's party was no exception. The circus themed party was super cute down to every little detail. T was so cute to watch as he entertained his guests. His favorite thing to was play with all of the balloons. He loved them so much, I joked with Mr. and Mrs. L that they would have to have balloons in the house all the time now. My absolute favorite part about 1st birthday parties is the cake smash. T seemed to love both eating and playing with the cake, and once he removed the fondant from the top and found the actual cake there was no stopping him. I think by the time he was done he was in a sugar coma. Soon after with a belly full of cake he decided it was nap time. :) Here is just a little sneak peek at T's fun birthday party...

Hi!
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I will be on maternity leave effectively immediately. I will still be answering emails, placing orders, and designing products as needed, but as far as sessions go I won't be returning to shooting until the first week of March. I originally wasn't planning on stopping until Baby G's arrival, but he has had other plans for me. :) I have updated the calendar on the website to include all current bookings. I will keep you guys posted on any changes, and can't wait to share the news of Baby G with you all!

I met the M family for a session just after Christmas. Everyone had traveled to Atlanta from California, New York, and Florida and wanted some family photos together. Little could we have all predicted that it would be freezing cold and Atlanta would have its first white Christmas since the 1800's. We pushed the session back as much as possible so that we could have the warmest temperatures possible (warm being in the 30s) and giving the snow a chance to melt. The little ones were such troopers and held out for as long as they could in the frigid temps. I bet they were wondering why they left their warm sunny Southern California. :) With frequent warm up breaks inside or with jackets we were able to make it through. Last week I got the chance to meet up with baby L for his six month shoot. I can't believe how much of a little man he looks like now. His eyes are just as blue as ever and his little gummy smile is so cute. He looked so big in his fleece vest and bomber jacket...it always amazes me how much they grow in the first year. Because of how cold it has been we did lots of playing around in L's home. First he showed me his new skill, sitting by himself...

But when he tires of that he showed me what he has next in his bag of tricks. Watch out mom and dad, crawling is just around the corner! :)

After some that we had some play time in his room. He LOVED these colorful balls.

We headed outside for just a bit, but then it was time for lunch and a nap for L. See you in three months L! :)

One of my favorite little clients is now all grown up! I can't believe he is one now. I met G and his family at their local downtown area and it was so cute. I had only been there to eat a few times, but it was a great place for a shoot. I loved how they had it decorated for Christmas and the S family told me they were there the night before and the whole street was blocked off for a Christmas party complete with a live nativity scene where the kids could pet the animals afterwards. I love when towns do cute things like that...gives you a small town feel even though we live in a huge city. :) G was so much fun, and he surprised me by already being a pro walker! Yay for birthdays! Miss E is turning one and it was time for her last session on the baby plan. She has gotten so big so fast and it was so much fun to see her walking around and smiling as she played with everything. The property we did the shoot at had a lake on it and at the very end Mr. C felt he had had enough of being pretty and posing for pictures. He leaped right in and decided to swim. Last month, my BFF threw me an awesome baby shower. It was my first one and it was so much fun to celebrate with all of our close friends. Afterwards we decided to do some quick photos for our Christmas cards since we were already dressed up. CB's neighborhood is so pretty and the afternoon light there is perfect. Below are a few snapshots from their shoot, and then I handed my camera over to CB. I will share a few of those later for you guys (you can definitely see the baby bump in them). :)

Her girls are so sweet to one another. Little H definitely knows what buttons to push on big sister, but they love each other tons and tons. They hate when they are apart from one another and I think it is adorable! BTW Miss H was very excited about finding this "special hay" while on our shoot. She took it everywhere and made sure it was close by in all her photos. :)

A few weekends ago, I had a quick mini session with the H and G families. Grandma and Grandpa H have two new little ones to spoil this year and wanted a session with all of their babies. :) Right when our session started it began to rain. I was a little nervous with a three week old being part of the mix, but everyone was fine and said "keep shooting". :) Rain wasn't our only obstacle though. The pretty Fall colors brought out tons of families and local photographers to this location. Throw in the rain, and limited space, it was a little chaotic to say the least. Our group was very courteous and stayed out of everyone's way, which can't be said for some (like, the girl who practically leaned on top of me to get her shot). I just had to laugh. All in all we got some super cute shots for the H family's Christmas card. Here is a quick look at their session...

And just because we thought this moment was so funny...Baby L was very excited about his new little cousin. Watch out L...I have a feeling W is going to catch up to you quickly! :)

•••Welcome Home Miss A! | Kennesaw, GA Newborn Photographer•••

This adorable little girl is Miss A. She is special in so many ways, and Mr. and Mrs. C are especially glad to have her home safe and sound. Some of you might recognize Mrs. C, who owns Murals by Mandy and I wrote about in this post . To say Mrs. C had a complicated pregnancy would be an understatement, and around 29 weeks Miss A decided that she had caused her parents enough drama already and decided to make her appearance. On the day that A arrived, we were all sending the C family lots and lots of prayers that both mommy and baby would be okay. Born at just about 3 pounds and 15 inches long, this tiny little girl told the whole world she was here to stay. She had a long road ahead of her, but given the circumstances she was a happy and healthy baby. She needed a little time to grow and then she would be all set to go home. We were all so happy for the C family! After two plus months at Northside Hospital's NICU, the C family was able to finally take their little girl home!

We did a very fun shoot for Miss A's newborn session, and I was so excited to finally meet her. She looks just like her daddy to me with her mommy's beautiful auburn hair. At almost three months I was amazed at how tiny she still is, but at how much she has grown since birth! At the time of our shoot I think she was right around 8 pounds, and even has a little chubb to her cheeks. :) She was so cuddly and sweet the entire time. You can tell she is just as happy to be home as her parents are to have her there. Here is a sneak peek at our session together...

This was Mrs. C's coming home dress when she was a newborn. So special!

A's original due date was October 31st, so we thought this was perfect. :)

Mr. C I think this needs to be reversed. A will definitely have you wrapped around her little finger. :)

Round two of the Holiday mini sessions was just as fun as the first. Luckily, it was such a pretty Fall day and abnormally warm. Everyone looked super cute, and the little ones were all smiles, which is always fun. :) Here is a sneak peek at round two's families...

First up was the D family. The D boys were so stinkin' adorable and so well behaved!! I loved how well the boys got along with one another. I hope baby G was paying attention and taking tips from this group. :)

Next was the R family. I couldn't believe how much baby R had grown up in just a few months. She is a little person now, and big brother is almost my height! I love seeing families grow!

Final session of the day was the V family...another return favorite. Mrs. V was such a trooper and came straight from her tennis match even though her team was still playing for the finals the following weekend. We all kept checking her phone to see if they won. I got a message the next morning saying they did. Yay!! I loved how trendy the V boys looked!

Be prepared for a blog overload today! The computer I usually work from crashed last week (not fun during busy season), but it has now been sent off to the laptop doctor. Luckily I have a back up at the house, but blogging was put on hold to catch up during the delay. So here we go to start off today's blogging extravaganza...

The first of my mini shoots sessions was so much fun. The weather was perfect and the Fall leaves were beautiful. All of the families that were scheduled were a blast and the little ones looked adorable!

First up was the C family. Little C loved her mommy and daddy bunches, it was so cute!

Here is the E family! These were such fun adorable twin boys. I loved seeing them hug and laugh with one another, I can just picture them having a blast growing up together.

This is the N family. Mrs. N has been a long time blog reader and I was so excited to finally meet her and her family. So cute! Loved little N's big blue eyes!

Here is the P family. I still can't believe how big the P children are getting. They are so grown up and such little people now.

Yay for baby W arriving! The G's decided to keep baby's sex a secret, and boy did baby W make the G's wait and wait and wait for his arrival. But he was probably worth the wait once they saw how stinkin' cute he is! :) He is a long, lean little cutie and at 22 1/2 inches at birth I am going to venture a guess that he will take after his daddy. At thirteen days old, W was such an easy going little guy for his first photo shoot and definitely wins the award for not peeing/pooping once during his naked shots...I think that is a first ever! :) Here is a sneak peek at W's newborn session...

Mommy saw this bowl and knew she wanted pictures of baby in it. I agree, it is pretty cute. :)

This is the G family. I met them at their beautiful home for their portrait session. The home and the surrounding properties are so beautiful and just perfect for a Fall family shoot. Mrs. G is pregnant and wanted to get a few family portraits before baby arrived. Big brother is very excited about the idea of having a little brother and loved giving his mommy's belly kisses and hugs during the session. He even told me all of the names he had picked out for little brother (mom and dad are keeping the name a secret), which included the name Farty (pronouned Faaarty with an English accent). :) Mr. & Mrs. G assured me that that name was not on their list. On Saturday, I was able to hang out and shoot one of my favorite families in one of my favorite locations. The whole M family met me for the annual holiday shoot, and it was such a fun time. Miss G is growing so fast and becoming such a little lady. She showed me all her model poses and her best "cheese" smile. :) Miss B is not far behind her and cracks me up because of all her sass...I have a feeling once B gets walking G is going to have a run for her money. :) It was such a fun morning with the M family playing in the gardens and seeing the girls play...can't wait to see you guys soon! My neighbors beautiful daughter Miss L turned three months a few weeks ago, so it was time for some new photos. She has gotten so big since her newborn photos and she has such a little personality now. She was all smiles and ready to pose. :) Mom and dad snuck in for a few photos towards the end of the shoot and I was so glad they did. Being from Louisiana, Mr. D is a huge Saints fan and he was so excited when Mrs. D agreed that they could all wear their Saints outfit for one photo. This upcoming weekend an amazing event will be held in Atlanta. On Saturday, October 30th the Atlanta Heart Walk will take place at Turner Field. This annual event is help to raise awareness and gain support for research and prevention of heart and cardiovascular diseases. Such issues affect millions of people everyday, and many of us will either know someone or experience ourselves health issues related to heart and/or other cardiovascular diseases.

I would like to introduce you guys to my good friend Mandy. Mandy has an amazing story, and is just one of the incredible people you can help support this weekend. Here is an awesome video that was made about Mandy and her mother...

The buzz is about Mr. G here. :) For G's recent shoot we headed over to his parents alma mater, Georgia Tech . I am a bad Atlantan and actually hadn't done much walking around Tech's campus before, but it is so pretty! It was so much fun to see the school and get a tour from the S family. Mr. S even got us into Bobby Dodd Stadium and the locker room for some fun photos. The team had an out of town game the night before and the equipment was just arriving from the plane. Yay for Miss I! She turned one last month! :) Miss I had changed so much from her nine month portraits and is sooooo smiley now. Look at all those teeth! I met the D family at the Atlanta Athletic Club on a quiet Monday afternoon. The sun was shining brightly and we had the whole place to ourselves. Miss I showed me her standing skills, but has quite mastered walking just yet. Although, she loves to walk holding mommy and daddy's hands. She was all smiles each time they walked around. I have a feeling it is not much longer. :) Here is a sneak peek into our afternoon together...

Yea for Baby G coming soon! These are our good friends the G family, and in just a few weeks they have their own little one arriving. We are beyond excited to meet little G and find out if baby is a he or a she! We met this week for a quick maternity shoot and afterwards had a yummy dinner at a local restaurant. A few weeks ago the K family introduced to the world their newest addition, Baby M. She is such a cutie and looks just like her big brother to me. M was awake for a little while, but quickly fell asleep. She was so adorable when she was sleeping and we would occasionally catch a cute little smile from her. Big brother is not quite two years older than M, and loved coming up and pointing out his big sister to me and saying her name. He was very interested in her, but in typical two year old fashion wasn't so interested in sitting for pictures with her. :) Mommy quickly learned that M&Ms were the trick and we got him to take a few photos with little sis in his favorite chair. A few days ago I had the pleasure of shooting the S family. Some of you might recognize some of the S's, but this time they brought the whole family. Mr. S's Father's Day gift was a photo shoot with his whole family. The family decided on a Fall shoot instead of summer, and I couldn't have agreed more. The weather has been perfect lately, and the crisp air made for such a comfortable afternoon. The whole shoot was so easy and so much fun. All the grandchildren were so well behaved and seemed to have a blast with one another. I loved that even some of the younger ones were so into posing and showing me their modeling skills. :) Here is a large sneak peek at the S family's shoot...

Happy October everyone! I kicked off October with a bunch of fun sessions. Here is a session with Miss M for her six month shoot. Isn't she adorable? Her parents had this cute pumpkin idea and I loved it. Miss M was having fun with it for a few minutes, but once she realized she was stuck she wasn't a fan any more. M was super smiley the entire session and had so much fun with everything we did. She is such a sweetheart and I know her parents love having such a fun loving little girl! Here is a sneak peek at the rest of our shoot together...

This is so sweet...the dog tags and color that M is holding belonged to the K's family dog Chance, who recently passed away. I loved that she kept playing with them.

We tried to get a family shot...I loved this one though. :)

As promised, here are more photos of sweet baby L. L is the new daughter of some of our great friends, the T family. Monday, Justen and I were able to visit the T's for the first time since their daughter arrived. It was so much fun to see them as parents and finally meet L. For months we had been guessing what she would look like, and from the moment I walked in the door I thought she was the spitting image of her mommy. :) I loved catching up with them and hearing their thoughts on how new parenthood has been. I even learned that L's favorite calming tool is surprisingly the vacuum cleaner! Now I can't wait for Baby G to get here and start to meet all his new playmates. Congratulations T family!!

Today is Miss Bella's sixth birthday, and boy did she feel like celebrating! :)

Last night I had just settled down to watch the Britney Spears Episode of Glee when I heard a loud thump upstairs. I assumed it was the dogs playing and went back to watching TV. Unfortunately, I never got past the opening scene because Bella came down the stairs and made such a commotion that I looked over and saw that she was only using her back legs and she was whimpering. I immediately ran to her to get her weight off her front legs and it took about five minutes to get her to calm down enough to lay down. My next task was to try to figure out how to get her into my car to take her to our local emergency vet. Being pregnant I knew lifting Bella, who is fifty pounds, was probably not a good idea, but with the hubby being out of town I wasn't sure what else to do. Luckily, Bella was calming down and she stood up on her own so we made our way slowly to the garage. Just when I thought we were going to make it to the car her back legs gave out. I was doing my best not to freak out, but it was hard looking at her sad little puppy face and knowing she was in pain. Finally, we made it to the car and were on our way to the vets office.

I pull into the parking lot and debate what to do next. I decide to get someone to help me get her inside so neither of us hurt ourselves trying to get her to the check-in area. Well, lets just say Bella has perfected the sad puppy face to a T and is apparently an excellent actress. I open my car door to get help and Bella leaps into the front seat and out into the parking lot and then sits by my feet shaking with excitement. Hmmm....I became a little suspicious.

I took her inside to get checked in and a short four and a half hours later they brought her to me and gave me the verdict. After much observation and testing, it was determined that nothing was wrong with Bella and that she was one hundred percent healthy. The vet even commented that she had the energy of a two year old rather than a six year old lab. Huh? All the dramatics and she is fine? Perplexed, we headed home and Bella must have been tired from her night out because she instantly ran upstairs and plopped down on her bed. Justen and I joked that she apparently really must have wanted to celebrate her birthday, and decided she would do so with a car ride and a wild night out.

Today she woke up good as new and ready to continue her birthday celebration with extra energy. I decided to take this in stride because I am so glad that she is okay. In the future though if she decides she wants to let loose on the town hopefully she will just call a cab and leave the her old dog mommy out of all the fun. ;)

Little L would like to welcome you to his world. :)

This adorable little boy is baby L and he just had his three month birthday. L was such a fun baby to shoot. Right when I walked through the door his big expressive blue eyes lit up and he gave me a huge gummy smile, so I knew it was going to be a good shoot. :) Well, L must have been practicing his poses the first three months of he life because he would see the camera and give me several adorable expressions all with in his first frames of each set up. We played with all of his favorite things and had such a great time together. I think I wore L out though, before my bag was even packed he was in his little swing napping away...and his napping was even cute. :) Here is a sneak peek into my shoot with L...

Just around the corner is this couple's big day! Their wedding is in just a few weeks so we needed to do a few engagement portraits before the upcoming events. We met at a fun location close to downtown Norcross and the couple's home. It was such a fun afternoon getting to know the couple a little better, and now I can't wait for their wedding day. It was evident during the shoot that they are so in love and have so much fun together. After meeting and falling in love over four years ago, I know as the wedding approaches this couple is more than ready to celebrate being husband and wife. Life lately has been fun, exciting, and busy to say the least. As summer is winding down, and the knowledge that my ability to travel is quickly coming to a halt, I took advantage of some free time I had built into my schedule. For the better part of the last two weeks I have been out of town on some fun last minute trips.

First, Justen and I headed to D.C. for a long weekend. Originally we had planned to go to Napa Valley, but in my current knocked up state I felt that would have just been torture. :) Those who know me know I love my wine, and to watch other people savor its deliciousness in front of me was not my idea of a good time. So random as it may seem the next city on my list was D.C. and I was so glad to make this choice. D.C. was a blast, and I love exploring places with my favorite traveling partner. We stayed in a lovely hotel that was only a block from the White House and within walking distance of some of D.C.'s biggest attractions and fun restaurants. I was glad we were so close to everything, as we must have logged thirty miles of walking by the time we visited everything. Each night my little feet were exhausted and I was asleep in my nice fluffy bed by 9p.m. Poor Justen, no night life for us this trip. ;) The weather was perfect and made me so excited for cooler Fall weather.

We were both so sad when we had to leave, but I quickly perked up with a fun girls trip planned to Wilmington with my best friend Carrie Beth and her girls. I was in Atlanta for less than 12 hours before we headed out to CB's home town. It was so relaxing to hang out at the beach and just do some fun girly things the whole week. I can't even begin to thank her family enough for the great hospitality that they provided me while I was there. She has the sweetest family in the world and I love visiting them.

Now back in Atlanta and catching up on everything I have missed the last few weeks. I have lots of blog posts to share from just before I left so check back often. Here is a quick peek at some of my favorite moments in D.C. All are taken with my handy dandy point and shoot because well, lets face it, the last thing a pregnant girl needs is to walk around with an additional 10-15lbs of camera equipment. :)

Introducing baby Z! This sweet little girl arrived a few weeks ago, and I had the pleasure of taking some of her first photographs. Well, other than the 1000's her parents had taken of their new little one before I got there...Mr. E was a big fan of photography as well. :) Baby Z was a little fussy during our shoot, so it took a little longer than normal, but once she got settled she was so easy to pose. If she woke up we learned that dad had a few tricks that worked pretty quickly, mainly cradling Z in mid-air with one arm and shooshing. It was so funny that she loved that position the best but it usually worked like a charm. Here is a sneak peek at Z's shoot...

This adorable family is the H family. Baby C was such a chubby cheeked fun six month old! We met early in the morning and the temperature was a little cool when we got a little taste of Fall a few weekends ago, but we appreciated it because the day quickly heated up. Gotta love Atlanta weather...cold to hot in an instant. :) I had so much fun watching C and his family interact and play together. Here is a sneak peek at my time with the H family...

Mr. H isn't the only little one turning one. So is the adorable and equally cute cheeked Miss B! I met B and her mommy for the shoot on a warm afternoon. We did B's older sister's photos at a covered bridge and tried to replicate the shoot a little bit. Off the bat Miss B was a little curious and was ready to move. You could tell she was thinking "Why do you crazy jumping noisy people keep putting me in the same place and taking pictures? Let's explore!" She loved crawling on the bridge and checking out the leaves that had fallen. I had a blast hanging out with B and her mommy and can't wait to see the whole family this Fall. This little cutie is Baby P. I met him and his super fun parents a few weekends ago at their beautiful home. It was a blast getting to know the P family and hanging out with all three for a few hours. Baby P was such a smiley little three month old. I knew it would be a fun shoot when I walked in the door and gave a big grin. He was so easy going, but I think a little curious about the big black box I was holding. You could tell he was just thinking and trying to figure it all out. Here is a quick sneak peek at some of our time together...

Mr. H is such an adorable blue eyed cutie that I have more than enjoyed photographing this past year. A few weeks ago his first birthday rolled around and it was time for his last shoot. His jump from nine months to one year in age was amazing! He was standing and walking around, and the smiliest I have ever seen him (which is crazy because he is usually pretty smiley). It also helped for the rest of us that this was the first session that this was the first time the weather was 100% absolutely perfect. It felt great outside and we were getting our first taste of Fall. It was such a fun morning and here is a sneak peek at H's one year shoot...

When he got super excited this was the face he made. So cute! :)
